I built LitterMeNot because I got tired of seeing trash show up over and over with no simple place for people to report it, keep it visible, and help the next cleanup effort know where to focus.
Some of what I kept seeing was in my own yard. Some of it came from people throwing garbage out of cars. Some of it came from sloppy waste handling that left trash scattered across streets and into town instead of fully contained. At the same time, I kept seeing cleanup efforts on the news and online. People clearly cared, but there still was not one simple place that tied reporting, follow through, and local coordination together.
That is what this board is for.
Use this space for real local cleanup coordination, recurring hotspot follow up, route notes, local questions, and alerts tied to an actual place. If you are planning a cleanup, trying to confirm whether a problem spot is still active, sharing something useful about disposal or pickup, or asking for nearby help, this is the right place.
Try to keep posts clear, local, and practical. A good thread tells people where the issue is, what is happening, and what kind of follow through would actually help. The more grounded and useful the post is, the easier it is for the next person to step in and do something with it.
If the main goal is to pin litter on the map, start with the report page first. The board works best when it adds context, coordination, and follow through around what people are already seeing.
Please do not use this space for spam, harassment, unsafe advice, personal attacks, or unrelated promotion. If something looks abusive, misleading, or clearly off topic, use the report option so moderators can review it.
The goal here is simple. Make it easier for people to move from seeing a problem to reporting it, from reporting it to coordinating around it, and from coordination to actual cleanup.
